Increasing cases of heart attacks among youth is a matter of concern
Expressing concern over this tragic incident, Director of the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Brigadier Dr. RK Gupta said that due to today’s changing lifestyle and eating habits, the risk of heart-related diseases is increasing rapidly among the youth. In many cases, along with genetic reasons, irregular daily routine, heavy stress, less sleep and increasing cholesterol are also becoming major causes of heart attack. Doctors have advised the youth not to do heavy workouts in the gym beyond their capacity and to get themselves checked immediately in case of any problem in the body.
