Mexican actress, director and producer Salma Hayek is all set to deliver a speech during the opening ceremony of the at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City ahead of the opening fixture between Mexico and South Africa on June 11, in her capacity as the tournament’s global ambassador.
Hayek, 59, who is known for her commanding speeches on various topics, will look to welcome fans to the grand tournament and speak about the unifying power of the sport globally.
Other artists like international singers Shakira and Tyla, will also perform at the inauguration. Each of the three host nations (USA, Canada and Mexico) will have a separate opening ceremony.
