Gujarat Diamonds vs Northern Challengers: Gujarat Diamonds has booked the ticket for the semi-finals of the second season of Big Cricket League. Gujarat Diamonds defeated Northern Challengers by 37 runs on the basis of DLS in the 13th match of rain-affected BCL 2026. This was Gujarat Diamonds’ fourth win in 5 matches. On the other hand, Northern Challengers, captained by Harbhajan Singh, is still yearning for its first win. He has lost all four matches played so far. Gujarat Diamonds has become the second team to reach the semi-finals of BCL 2026 by winning the 13th match played at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater Noida. UP Bridge Stars have already reached the semi-finals by winning 5 out of their 5 matches.

In the BCL 2026 match played on the evening of June 10, Northern Challengers captain Harbhajan Singh won the toss and put Gujarat Diamonds to bat first. Gujarat Diamonds batsmen took full advantage of this and scored a huge total of 217 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. Sarul Kanwar’s powerful century and Jasal Kariya’s all-round performance played a big role in Gujarat Diamonds reaching such a big score.
Sarul Kanwar’s century, Jessel Karia’s half-century
Sarul Kanwar scored 118 runs in 54 balls, which included 11 sixes. Whereas Jessel Kariya played an unmatched inning of 70 runs in 49 balls with the help of 4 sixes. It was the result of the partnership between these two players that Gujarat Diamonds could set the target of 218 runs for Northern Challengers in 20 overs.
Northern Challengers lost by 37 runs on the basis of DLS
Northern Challengers showed a good fight while chasing the target of 218 runs given by Gujarat Diamonds. However, Jasal Kariya, who showed his brilliance with the bat for Gujarat Diamonds, also hurt Northern Challengers with the ball by taking 3 wickets. But, from one end, Sri Lankan batsman Angelo Perera kept the team’s hopes alive by scoring 64 runs in 36 balls.
But, that hope of Northern Challengers was also dashed when the match was stopped due to rain. The result was that the match had to be decided on the basis of DLS. Gujarat Diamonds won the match by 37 runs on the basis of DLS.

Jessel Kariya was given both the Best Bowler of the Match and Player of the Match awards for his all-round game. Sarul Kanwar received the Best Batter of the Match award for his brilliant century innings.
