As promised, the makers of Haiwaan have unveiled the first look of the Priyadarshan directorial. Starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles, the movie is set for a theatrical release on September 11, 2026. Nearly two months before the release, Akshay and Saif’s character posters are out.
Eighteen years after Tashan, Akshay and Saif have reunited for a silver screen project. While sharing the official posters of Haiwaan, Akshay revealed that between him and Saif, one sees everything and the other misses nothing. For the unversed, this suspense thriller has been backed by KVN Productions and Thespian Films.

A day ago, Akshay had hinted at ‘s first look with a caption that read, “Kal, raat 8 baje. Aur iss baar, mazaak nahi hoga.” And today, the actor shared a series of Haiwaan posters on social media. Taking to his Instagram handle, the actor unveiled his and Saif’s look from the Priyadarshan directorial. If you havem’t seen the posters yet, check them out below:

Apart from , the star cast of Haiwaan includes Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher and late Asrani. In an old interview with News18, filmmaker Priyadarshan had revealed that late Asrani shot for his movie five to six days before his death. The director considered himself ‘blessed’ to have shot his last take.
Priyadarshan admitted that he was shocked to learn about the veteran actor’s death as he had shot for Haiwaan a few days back. “I’ve just one small scene left with him in Haiwaan. It just has one dialogue by him. We’ll manage when we get down to filming it. All other scenes featuring him have been shot. He had a bad back pain. So, we used to give him a chair. We would remove it only when the cameras would start rolling,” he said.

According to IMDb, Haiwaan revolves around a blind martial artist who protects a girl child from a psychopath killer. It is said to be the Hindi remake of Priyadarshan’s Malayalam film, Oppam. The original film featured Mohanlal in a lead role. Apart from him, Samuthirakani, Meenakshi, Nedumudi Venu, Mamukkoya, and others were an integral part of the project. Backed by Aashirvad Cinemas, Oppam was theatrically released in 2016. A decade later, its rumoured Hindi version is all set to release on September 11, 2026.
