CM Yogi Adityanath launched Center of Excellence in collaboration with TCS in Gorakhpur. It is based on AI, machine learning and cyber security, which will provide technical skills and new employment opportunities to the youth.
Gorakhpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday gave a big technical gift to the youth of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. He inaugurated the state-of-the-art Center of Excellence (COE) built in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Foundation at Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology (MPIT) run by Maharana Pratap Education Council. On this occasion, Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran and TCS CEO K. Krittivasan was also present.
UP Development Model: Journey from infrastructure to manufacturing hub
The Chief Minister said that in the last nine years, Uttar Pradesh has established itself as an infrastructure state and manufacturing hub. He said that earlier there was a lack of basic facilities like roads, electricity and security in the state, due to which investment did not come and employment opportunities were also limited. But today’s UP is progressing rapidly in every field.
Youth and Technology: Youth will join technology, will get benefits in every field
Inspiring the youth, CM Yogi said that the closer they get to technology, the more easy and useful it will become for them. Acquiring proficiency in technology will provide new opportunities in sectors like education, health, agriculture, industry and innovation.
COE Focus Areas: Emphasis on AI, Machine Learning and Cyber Security
The Chief Minister said that this Center of Excellence has been developed keeping in mind the current and future technical needs. In this, special focus will be given to areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, Space Technology and 3D Printing. This center will promote research, innovation, startups and technology transfer.
Digital India Vision: The goal of self-reliant India will get strength
Expressing his gratitude to the Tata Group, CM Yogi said that this center will strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaigns like Digital India, Startup India and Make in India. This will prepare the youth for global competition.
Regional Impact: Benefits will reach Purvanchal, Bihar and Nepal
The Chief Minister said that this center has brought new light of technology for the youth, farmers and women of Gorakhpur, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Western Bihar and Terai region of Nepal. This area, which was once considered backward, will now become technologically empowered and move in a new direction of development.
MP Education Council Contribution: Historical contribution in the education sector
CM Yogi also mentioned the contribution of Maharana Pratap Education Council. He told that it was established by Mahant Digvijaynath ji in 1932. This council played an important role in the establishment of Gorakhpur University. Now this modern center has been established in MPIT under the same organization.
Gorakhpur Growth: Emerging city as a knowledge power house
The Chief Minister said that Gorakhpur is now emerging as a knowledge power house. Four universities operate here and recently Software Technology Park has also been established.
Expressway State: UP becomes the expressway hub of the country
CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh has now become an expressway state. 55% of the country’s expressways are in UP and after the completion of Ganga Expressway, this figure will reach 60%. A large part of the Delhi-Dehradun corridor also passes through UP.
Industrial Growth: Growth in MSME, Startup and Manufacturing
The Chief Minister said that UP has unlimited potential with technology. 55% mobile manufacturing and 60% electronic component production is taking place in the state. 96 lakh MSMEs and more than 22 thousand startups are strengthening the economy of the state.
Bundelkhand Industrial City: New industry being built on 56000 acres
CM Yogi said that a new industrial city and pharma park is being developed on 56000 acres in Bundelkhand. Along with this, NCR is developing as IT Hub, Kanpur Drone Technology Hub and Lucknow Defense Corridor.
AI Future: Emphasis on AI courses and skill development
The Chief Minister said that AI is the need of the present time and one should not be left behind in it. He suggested MPIT to start certificate, diploma and degree courses for the youth.
Labs and Innovation: Showcasing cutting-edge labs and startups
After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the AI Lab, Cyber Security Lab, Drone Technology and 3D Printing Lab. Here, the innovations made by the startups were also witnessed and the youth were encouraged.
AI Courses Launch: Launch of ‘AI for All’ and ‘AI for Farmers’
On this occasion, courses like ‘AI for All’, Cyber Security Awareness Program and ‘AI for Farmers’ were also started, so that technology can be taken to every section of the society.
Vision Document Unveiled: Outline of MPIT’s future presented
MPIT’s vision document and ‘Inclusive AI for UP’ document were unveiled at the event. Besides this, MoUs were also exchanged between various institutions.
