Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 594 km long Ganga Expressway on Wednesday. This high speed corridor to be built from Meerut to Prayagraj will give a new impetus to UP’s connectivity, industry, logistics, investment and employment.

Lucknow. On Wednesday, a new and historic chapter is going to be added in the development of Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the much awaited Ganga Expressway. This 594 km long high speed expressway being built from Meerut to Prayagraj is considered very important for the connectivity, industry, agriculture and logistics sectors of the state.

This expressway will directly connect Western Uttar Pradesh with Purvanchal, which will give a new impetus to the economy of the state. Besides, with the promotion of ‘Ease of Doing Business’, new opportunities for investment and employment will also be created.

PM Narendra Modi Visit: Will inaugurate Ganga Expressway in Hardoi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Hardoi at around 11:15 am on Wednesday and will leave from there at 12:55 pm. During this he will inaugurate the Ganga Expressway. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will visit the exhibition of UPIDA, participate in the plantation program and will also address a public meeting. Security and preparations have been intensified in the entire area regarding this program.

Ganga Expressway Route: 12 districts will get direct and fast connectivity

Ganga Expressway connects 12 major districts including Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj. With the opening of this expressway, long distance journeys will be completed in much less time than before. People will get fast, safe and comfortable travel. Besides, traders and industries will benefit greatly from the reduction in the cost of transportation of goods, which will strengthen the economic activities of the state.

PPP Model Expressway: Prepared with modern technology and high speed design

Ganga Expressway has been constructed on PPP i.e. DBFOT model. This is being considered a great example of public and private partnership. At present this expressway has been built with 6 lanes, but in future it can be expanded to 8 lanes. Its design speed has been kept at 120 kilometers per hour, which will make the traffic fast and smooth. Superior construction quality, wide right of way and modern safety features make it one of the most modern expressways in the country.

Shahjahanpur Airstrip: Air Force landing facility to be built on the expressway

The most special features of the Ganga Expressway include the approximately 3.2 kilometer long airstrip built near Shahjahanpur. In case of emergency, fighter planes of the Indian Air Force will be able to land here. Apart from this, modern security facilities like Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS), CCTV cameras, emergency call box, ambulance and patrolling will be available on the entire expressway. With these arrangements, passengers will get a safer and better traveling experience.

Industrial Corridor UP: Industry and logistics sector will get big benefits

Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (IMLC) are being developed along the Ganga Expressway. Warehouses, cold storage, food processing units and logistics hubs will be built here. The government is providing facilities like capital subsidy, SGST reimbursement, stamp duty exemption and power incentive to attract investors. This will increase industrial investment on a large scale in the state and create new employment opportunities for the youth.

UP Expressway Network: Ganga Expressway will connect to other expressways

Ganga Expressway is being connected to Purvanchal Expressway, Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway and Gorakhpur Link Expressway. After this, the country’s largest interconnected expressway network will be ready in Uttar Pradesh. This will make freight transportation faster and cheaper and will give new strength to the logistics sector.

Agro-based industries, markets, warehouses and cold storage will also be developed around the expressway, so that farmers will be able to get better prices for their produce.

Kashi Vishwanath Visit: PM Modi will visit Baba Vishwanath

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also visit Kashi Vishwanath temple along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday morning. PM and CM will reach the temple at around 7 am. The entire route has been decorated and special security arrangements have been made to welcome the Prime Minister.

BJP Welcome Preparation: Grand welcome will be held at five major points

According to BJP regional president Dilip Patel, five major welcome points have been made from Bareka to Kashi Vishwanath Temple road to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At these places, BJP workers will welcome the Prime Minister with drums, conch shells and showering of rose petals.

Manduadih, Police Line, Lahurabir, Maidagin, Chowk and Kashi Vishwanath Temple Gate will be the main welcome points. Ministers, public representatives, BJP officials, workers and a large number of people of Kashi will be present here.
