Dummy pictures of Apple’s first foldable phone ‘iPhone Ultra’ have been leaked. It has a book-style design, with a wider external screen than other foldable phones. When folded, it can give an experience like a passport and when opened, it can give an experience like an iPad Mini.
New Delhi: AThere is a lot of talk about the first foldable smartphone. Meanwhile, new pictures of its dummy model have been leaked online. If reports are to be believed, this phone can come in the market with the name of ‘iPhone Ultra’ or ‘iPhone Fold’. Although the company has not made any official announcement yet, these leaked pictures reveal a lot about the design of Apple’s first foldable phone.
These pictures have been shared by tech journalist John Retinger on the social media platform Threads, which are now attracting a lot of attention. According to the pictures, the design of the phone is book-style i.e. it is going to fold from the middle like a book. The leak also shows that Apple is trying a different design from the existing foldable phones.
According to the report, models like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Vivo’s X Fold 5 have long and thin cover screens. Instead, the iPhone Ultra has a much wider external screen. When the phone is folded, its look looks a lot like a passport. The biggest advantage of this wide cover display will be that many tasks can be done without opening the phone. It is believed that there will be no need to open the phone again and again for checking messages, running social media, reading emails and light multitasking.
The report also states that when the phone is fully opened, the screen inside is reminiscent of the iPad Mini. This larger screen will give a tablet-like experience, making it even easier to do tasks like multitasking, split-screen apps, video streaming and document editing.
Companies like Samsung, Google, Vivo and Honor are already present in the foldable smartphone market. But industry experts believe that Apple’s entry can bring major changes in the market. However, these pictures are of dummy units, so there is a possibility of change in the design of the final product. Apple has not yet given any official statement about the foldable iPhone, but these new leaks have further increased the expectations regarding the launch of the phone.
