The content creator who made the video says that it is very rare in India to see someone choosing their happiness over social pressure.

Content creator Chetna Singh wrote on Instagram, “In a country where most people leave their hobbies behind due to responsibilities and social pressure, it was really inspiring to meet someone who actually chose what makes her happy.” Chetna’s bio reveals that she herself is a software developer.

The video begins with a text that reads, “He left Amazon to start Uber/Rapido.” After this, Chetna sitting in the car says, “Hi friends, today I got an Uber car and I have Kumar sir with me. He used to work in Amazon earlier and now he has started driving to follow his passion… because driving is his passion.” She also points out that Kumar is one of Uber’s highest-rated drivers.

When asked to comment, Kumar spoke about how much he loves driving and how it gives him the opportunity to connect with people around the world. He further adds that roaming on the streets of the city gives him a great opportunity to see Hyderabad. Seeing their enthusiasm, Singh says, “I don’t usually see people following their passion in India.”

She then turns the camera back towards Kumar and asks when he started working as a taxi driver. In response, he explains that he left his previous job to work for Uber in 2014 and proudly states that he has completed approximately 23,600 rides so far.
