A man allegedly murdered his influencer wife by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon in Nanganallur, Chennai. Later the man himself hanged himself. When the son reached home after reading his father’s message, he found both of them dead. The police is investigating the matter
Man kills influencer’s wife: A very sad incident has come to light in Nanganallur area of Chennai. Here a 52-year-old man allegedly committed suicide after slitting the throat of his influencer wife. According to reports, both were found dead inside the house. The woman was an Instagram influencer who had more than 3 lakh followers. Deceased Nagalakshmi gave utmost importance to the education of her children. His elder son Harish Bhardwaj (21) is studying medicine in Russia. Whereas younger son Shailesh (18) is studying dentistry in Chennai. According to the police, husband Subramanyam had recently returned to Chennai. He reportedly apologized for his past behavior and the two reconciled. After this the husband and wife started living together again.
When did the matter come to light?
This incident came to light on 27 April. That day the couple’s younger son returned home and found his parents dead. The deceased have been identified as Subramaniam (52) and Nagalakshmi (42), who was also a business owner. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation.
The couple were already living separately
According to the police, both were living separately for some time due to mutual differences. During this time Subramaniam was staying with a relative in Madurai. Nagalakshmi, on the other hand, focused on rebuilding her life. She started a saree business in Nanganallur, which she promoted through Instagram. Gradually his work increased and he also opened a big store in Chennai.
Before the incident, a scary message came to the son
According to the report, on April 27, Subramaniam had sent a worrying message to his son Shailesh. Seeing the message, Shailesh immediately reached home, where he found his mother dead. He was murdered with a sharp weapon. Meanwhile, his father was found hanging in another room. Police have taken both the bodies in their custody and sent them to Chengalpattu Government Hospital for post-mortem. Initial investigation suggests that there might have been a heated argument between the two over some issue, after which this incident occurred.
