New Delhi [भारत]July 1 (ANI): A fire broke out in a three-storey building in the Uttam Nagar area of the national capital. Officials said the fire was brought under control as soon as fire tenders reached the spot.
According to Delhi Fire Service, the fire was brought under control at 06:30 am and there was no report of any casualty in the incident till 07:05 am.
“The fire broke out in a basement, ground-plus-three-storey building, spread over approximately 350 square yards. Electronic goods, electrical goods, furniture and fixtures were affected on all floors. The fire was brought under control at 6:30 am. By 7:05 am, officials confirmed that there were no casualties,” the Delhi Fire Service said in a statement.

Fire broke out in the kitchen of Parikrama restaurant
In another separate incident on Tuesday, a massive fire broke out in the kitchen of Parikrama restaurant located on Barakhamba Road in the national capital, a fire department official said.
The incident occurred around 3:40 pm, following which fire tenders were sent to the spot. On reaching the spot, fire service personnel found that the fire was caused by the kitchen chimney and the oil accumulated in it.
The official said that seven fire tenders were sent to the spot and the fire has been brought under control. Delhi Fire Service said that there were no casualties.
Speaking to ANI, fire department official Mukesh Verma said, “At 15:40, the fire control room received information about a fire in the kitchen of Parikrama restaurant. Fire engines from the nearest station and our special Bronto Sky Lift deployed for rescue operations were immediately rushed to the spot; a total of seven vehicles were dispatched. On reaching the spot, the fire service personnel found that the fire had started inside the chimney of the kitchen and the oil accumulated in it.” (ANI)
