Pune (Maharashtra) [भारत]July 18 (ANI): A fire broke out at a paint material warehouse in Vetal Nagar in Pune’s Kondhwa area on Friday, leaving one person seriously injured.
Three fire tenders were sent to the spot and the work of extinguishing the fire is going on. One person suffered serious burns in this incident. More information is awaited.
There was a massive fire a month ago also
Earlier on June 16, a massive fire broke out in four furniture shops in Handewadi area of Pune. There was no news of any casualty in this incident. Pune Fire Department’s fire officer Sameer Shaikh told ANI that the cause of the fire is being investigated.
“Despite the cause of the fire being unclear, it spread rapidly due to the highly inflammable material. The operation to extinguish the fire required a lot of manpower, which included vehicles from five fire stations, four water tankers and several private water tankers,” he said.
He further said, “As per initial assessment, the fire affected four furniture establishments – a showroom at the front and a factory at the back. However, an adjacent hotel and another factory were saved.”
There is no report of any casualty. (ANI)
