Madhya Pradesh Crime: The accused of knife attack in Gwalior reached the hospital posing as a woman. Its purpose was to know whether the injured laborer was alive or not. He was arrested after being identified by the victim’s wife.
Gwalior: A surprising case has come to light in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Here, the accused of brutally stabbing a laborer reached the hospital disguised as a woman. His objective was to find out whether the person whom he stabbed was alive or dead. However, his ruse did not work and the victim’s wife recognized him, following which he was arrested. According to the police, accused Dharmendra Bhadauria had attacked 32-year-old laborer Devendra Maurya with a knife after an argument near Gudha-Gudhi Naka on Saturday night.
In this attack, Devendra suffered several deep knife wounds on his chest, stomach, neck and hands. He was admitted to JAH Hospital in critical condition, where doctors described his condition as critical. Police said that Dharmendra was afraid that if Devendra died, a case of murder would be filed against him. To find out this and to escape from the police, he entered the surgical ward of the hospital in the guise of a woman wearing a salwar suit on Sunday.
But, despite the woman’s clothes, Devendra’s wife Rachna Maurya recognized the accused by his muscular body and immediately raised an alarm. As soon as Dharmendra tried to escape, the hospital security personnel and the people present there caught him and handed him over to the police. Amidst this commotion, the victim’s wife also raised her hand on the accused in anger.
Police say that this entire dispute started while drinking alcohol. Devendra and his friends, Dharmendra Bhadauria and Pappu Bhadauria, were sitting and drinking alcohol after work, when a fight broke out between them over some issue. Within no time the situation escalated to such an extent that both of them together attacked Devendra with a knife and fled from the spot.
At present, Dharmendra has been arrested on charges of attempt to murder. Police have also registered the name of co-accused Pappu Bhadauria in this case, who is still absconding. Meanwhile, Devendra is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
