As soon as the first teaser of Shraddha Kapoor’s most awaited film ‘Itha’ was released, it has become a topic of discussion on social media. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is based on the life of Maharashtra’s great folk artist Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. The teaser shows Shraddha Kapoor in her most powerful and emotional avatar till date, where her character decides to perform on stage despite being pregnant. ‘Eetha’, which is going to be released on August 28, 2026, is going to face films like Yash’s ‘Toxic’, Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Vvan’ and ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’.

The teaser of the film starts with Shraddha Kapoor’s character preparing to perform on stage. She is pregnant and suffering from pain. Meanwhile, even after giving birth to a child backstage, she decides to go on stage. ‘Eetha’ is the biopic of Maharashtra’s famous folk artist Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. The name of the film is derived from the name ‘Vitha’, which was considered to be the popular regional name of Vithabai. Vithabai is counted among the most influential artists of Tamasha folk art. The film will show his life, struggles, achievements and his contribution to the art world between 1950 and 1980.
