Prabhas is once again making headlines with his upcoming film Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi.
Even before its release, the project has emerged as one of the most talked-about films in Indian cinema because of its grand scale and historical backdrop.
Set during the pre-Independence era, Fauzi is expected to combine action, patriotism, romance and emotion.
Prabhas is reportedly playing a fearless soldier involved in an important chapter of India’s freedom struggle.
Rs 600 Crore Budget?
According to sources, Fauzi is being made on an estimated budget of Rs 600 crore, which would make it one of the most expensive Telugu films ever produced.
The makers have not officially confirmed the budget. However, the reported figure has already generated significant discussion within the film industry.
A major portion of the investment is said to be going into recreating the British Raj era of the 1940s.
The film reportedly features massive sets, authentic period costumes, large-scale war sequences and advanced visual effects.
The production team is aiming for international standards, with heavy spending on production design, action choreography and other technical departments to deliver a visually spectacular experience.
Star-Studded Cast
Fauzi features Imanvi Esmail as the female lead, marking her acting debut opposite Prabhas.
The film also stars veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada in important roles. Rajesh Sharma, Rahul Ravindran, Jitin Gulati and Chaithra J. Achar are also part of the cast.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film is reportedly centred on a brave soldier associated with the Azad Hind Force during British rule.
The recently released posters showed Prabhas holding a sword in a powerful avatar, suggesting that the story may explore lesser-known chapters of India’s history through high-voltage action and drama.
The makers have officially announced that Fauzi will release in theatres worldwide on December 3, 2026.
With its reported Rs 600 crore budget, star-studded cast and ambitious vision, Fauzi has already become one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2026.
