Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: The truth that has now come out regarding Siya and Chetan in the Ketan Agarwal murder case is shocking. Sia had made such a plan that even if Chetan had survived, no one would have doubted him.
Pune (Maharashtra): Pune Rural Police on Sunday made a shocking revelation in the Ketan Aggarwal murder case. Police said that before pushing 26-year-old businessman Ketan into the moat of Lohgarh Fort on June 18, accused Siya Goyal had given a pre-planned signal to his associate Chetan Chaudhary. Siya gave a signal to Choudhary by pretending to drink water while sitting on the ground. This was done so that when Ketan was pushed, he would remain out of Sia’s reach. The police suspect that this was a deliberate move so that Ketan could not catch Siya to escape while falling.
Siya-Chetan had made a clever plan for murder?
“Ongoing investigation has revealed that the crime was allegedly hatched by accused Siya Goyal and his friend Chetan Choudhary,” a Pune Rural Police official said. Police allege that both of them had conspired together a day before this incident in a cafe in Lallanagar area of Pune. This claim is also strengthened by the CCTV footage found there. Officials also revealed that the duo had allegedly rehearsed the crime before committing it. The investigation team is now busy locating the place where this rehearsal was conducted.
Chetan had reached there by riding a bike 100 KM for the murder.
On Sunday morning, a team of Pune Rural Police reached Lohgarh Fort with Siya Goyal so that the crime scene could be recreated. Besides this, the investigation team has also seized a scooter, which was allegedly used by Chaudhary to travel 100 kilometers from Pune to the fort. Police suspect that this vehicle was used to avoid the toll plaza on the way.
Love-marriage and now jail…
- Ketan Aggarwal and Siya Goyal got engaged on 19 February and were going to get married this year. Police suspect that Siya did not want to get married as she was allegedly in a relationship with Chaudhary since October last year.
- Both the accused were arrested on June 23 and sent to seven-day police custody till June 29. Further investigation is ongoing in the matter.
Case went to fast-track court
Following the incident, the Maharashtra government has approved the creation of a fast-track court to hear the case and appointed Rajya Sabha MP and senior lawyer Ujjwal Nikam as Special Public Prosecutor. This decision was taken after the victim’s father met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Pune, in which he appealed for speedy justice in the case. The Chief Minister assured the family that strict action would be taken against the accused and the hearing of the case would be fast-tracked.
