Actress Elizabeth Hurley has shared a glimpse of her countryside life, celebrating the first harvest from an ancient orchard she and her family have been working to revive after years of neglect.
Hurley took to Instagram to share a picture of herself wearing a crimson-red T-shirt and denim jeans while holding freshly picked apples and standing beside baskets filled with fruit.
She said the orchard still required considerable work but expressed happiness over the results of this year’s efforts, with the apples hand-picked by her and her family.
The actress added that crates of apples were being taken to a local juice presser and said she was looking forward to receiving the juice made from their harvest. According to Hurley, each crate could yield around 10 bottles of juice.
Hurley is best known for playing Vanessa Kensington in ‘Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery’ and the Devil in ‘Bedazzled’. Her television credits include ‘The Royals’, ‘Runaways’ and ‘Gossip Girl’, where she portrayed Diana Payne in the fifth season.
Her first major big-budget film role came with ‘Passenger 57’. She also accompanied then-partner Hugh Grant to the London premiere of ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ in 1994.
Hurley most recently appeared in the 2024 British thriller ‘Strictly Confidential’, written and directed by her son Damian Hurley in his directorial debut. The film also starred Georgia Lock, Lauren McQueen, Freddie Thorp and Genevieve Gaunt.
Her television credits also include ‘Breaking Bear’, an adult animated dark-comedy crime series created by Julien Nitzberg for Tubi. The series features the voices of Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Annie Murphy, Josh Gad and Hurley and parodies mobster films and crime fiction.
