An influencer from Delhi has accused a man of rape. The accused called her to the hotel on the pretext of reel shoot and raped her and later blackmailed her. The police have registered an FIR on June 10 and started investigation.
New Delhi: A social media influencer has made a sensational allegation of rape against a man. The woman says that the accused called her to the hotel on the pretext of shooting online content and then raped her. Police gave this information on Tuesday. According to news agency PTI, the victim woman is 36 years old and lives in Burari area of Delhi. She told the police that she had met the accused through a social media platform in 2022.
In her complaint, the woman said that in September 2022, the accused called her to a hotel in Burari on the pretext of making social media reels. On reaching there the accused raped her. On the complaint of the woman, the police registered an FIR at Burari police station on June 10. A senior police officer has confirmed that the allegations are under investigation.
The woman also alleges that after this incident, the accused kept blackmailing her and sexually exploited her several times for a long period. According to the complaint, the woman later came to know that the accused had given some other name to hide his real identity. After this truth came to light, the woman ended all relations with him.
The influencer has also alleged that when she distanced herself from the accused, her brother-in-law and another relative approached her and threatened her. Police say that the case has been registered and further investigation is going on.
