The film may have had a disappointing start on the first day, but by the end of the weekend there was a huge jump in its earnings. The film is getting good response especially among the family audience and comedy loving audience. Kapil Sharma’s film ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi’ was released in theaters on 8 May 2026. On the first day of its release, the film could collect only Rs 60 lakh nett, which was considered a very weak start. However, the makers and trade experts were confident that being a family comedy could deliver on weekends. So did happen. On the second day i.e. Saturday, the film earned approximately Rs 1.15 crore. This was about 92% more than the previous day. On Sunday, the film gained further momentum and the collection reached Rs 1.30 to 1.40 crore. That means, on the third day, a further jump of about 22% was seen. The net collection of the film for three days i.e. the first weekend has reached around Rs 3.45 crore and the gross collection has reached around Rs 4.14 crore.

This was the reason why the word of mouth of the film continued to grow stronger.

According to reports, the budget of ‘Dadi Ki Shaadi’ is around Rs 20-21 crore. In such a situation, the net collection of about Rs 3.45 crore in three days is not a huge figure for the film. It is only about 16.48-17.25 percent of the cost. Artists like Neetu Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, Riddhima Kapoor, Sadia Khatib and R Sharat Kumar have been seen in the film. Trade experts believe that if the support of the family audience continues, the film’s earnings may improve further in the coming days.
