Increase in crude oil prices
In the month of June, there has been an increase of about 9 percent in the prices of crude oil. The biggest increase has been seen in the price of American crude. If we look at the data, on the last trading day of last month, the price of American crude had come down to $ 87.36 per barrel. Whereas on June 3, the prices have come to $ 94.88 per barrel. This means that in 3 days the price of crude oil has seen an increase of more than 7 dollars per barrel i.e. about 9 percent.
On the other hand, there has been a significant increase in the prices of crude oil in Gulf countries. If we look at the data, we have seen an increase of 5.56 percent in the price of Brent in 3 days. On the last trading day of last month, the price of Brent crude was at $ 92.05 per barrel, which came down to $ 97.17 per barrel on June 3. This means that during this period, the price of Brent crude has seen an increase of more than 5 dollars per barrel. However, at present the price of Brent crude is seeing an increase of 1.31 percent.
Relief in fuel prices for the 9th consecutive day
On the other hand, there has been relief in fuel prices for the 9th consecutive day. According to IOCL data, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel after May 25. In the country’s capital Delhi, the prices of petrol and diesel remain at Rs 102.12 and Rs 95.20 per liter respectively. Whereas in Kolkata the price of petrol is seen at Rs 113.51 and the price of diesel is seen at Rs 99.02. Whereas in Mumbai the prices of petrol and diesel are seen at Rs 111.21 and Rs 97.83 per liter respectively. Whereas in Chennai the price of petrol is seen at Rs 107.77 and in Chennai the price of diesel is seen at Rs 99.55 per liter.
