Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Wednesday took an important initiative giving a new direction to his commitment towards fuel saving and environmental protection. The Chief Minister traveled from CM House to State Hangar, Bhopal in an electric vehicle (EV) instead of a conventional petrol vehicle.
After completing all the necessary standards checks, technical tests and other necessary procedures related to the security and protocol of the Chief Minister, this electric vehicle has been officially included in the miniature carcade of the Chief Minister. Now Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will use electric car for his regular commute in the capital Bhopal.
PM Narendra Modi Message: Prime Minister’s appeal for thrift and fuel saving taken forward
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been continuously giving the message to the countrymen to save fuel and use resources responsibly. He said that it is not only the responsibility of the government level but also of every citizen to make positive efforts at his level for energy conservation and environmental protection. The Chief Minister said that saving fuel and adopting a frugal lifestyle not only brings personal benefits but also ensures better utilization of the country’s resources.
MP Electric Vehicle Policy: Government promoting electric vehicles in the state
The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously encouraging the use of electric vehicles. Electric vehicles are emerging as a better option for modern and environment-friendly transportation. He informed that the use of EV vehicles reduces the consumption of conventional fuel, thereby promoting energy conservation. Besides, these vehicles do not cause air pollution and noise pollution is also very less. This is why electric vehicles are playing an important role towards environmental protection.

The Chief Minister said that the cost of maintenance and operation of electric vehicles is also much less as compared to normal petrol-diesel vehicles. In such a situation, it can prove to be an economical option for both the common people and the government. He said that greater use of EV vehicles will help in creating a clean, safe and green environment for the coming generations. With this, dependence on traditional fuels will reduce, pollution will reduce and the green development of the state will get a new impetus.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that adopting electric vehicles is not only a technical change but also a social responsibility towards environmental protection. He also appealed to the people to use EV vehicles as much as possible so that both the state and the country can benefit from clean energy based development.
