Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced skill training and job fairs for youth employment in Raisen. He also launched ‘Mama Coaching Class’ for competitive exams and promised laptops for meritorious students to boost education and resources.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday said efforts would be made to connect youth with employment opportunities by providing skill training as per industry requirements and organising job fairs. Addressing programmes during his visit to his parliamentary constituency Raisen, Chouhan said it was not possible for every youth to get a government job and stressed the need to equip them with skills required by private industries.
Empowering Students with Quality Education and Resources
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that “every child has immense intellect, talent and the ability to move forward. Whether a son or a daughter, no child is weak. What is needed is only self-confidence, proper guidance and studying with dedication”. He told the children that they should never let the thought come into their mind that they lack intellect or ability. God has not given a lack of intellect to anyone, and every child can do wonders in life and reach the biggest posts in the country and the world.
Laptops for Meritorious Students
Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that to take forward the talent of children, I have decided, in the name of my parents, that students who score good marks in 10th and 12th will be given laptops every year, so that lack of resources does not become an obstacle in their studies. He said that congratulations to the children who are getting laptops today, but those children who are still deprived of them should also work hard and move forward.
Modernising Government Schools
Chouhan said that for a long time, “I had this thought in my mind: why government schools cannot be excellent in every respect. Children studying in government schools should also get quality education and modern facilities like private schools.” He said that with this thought, such schools were imagined where every necessary facility is available to hone the talent of children, including modern labs, a rich library, smart classes, a playground, music, dance, painting and sports. He said that government schools should not be just buildings, but should become centres for realising children’s dreams.
Chouhan said that with this resolve, the concept of CM Rise and Sandipani schools was realised in Madhya Pradesh. He said that Raisen’s Sandipani School has been built for Rs 38 crore 38 lakh, and today this school stands as a new example of modern and quality education in front of the children of the region.
Chouhan said that “my resolve is that there should not be a big difference in the quality of education between children studying in government and private schools. Every child should get equal opportunities and better education”. He said that with the spirit of ‘One Nation, One Education’, efforts are being made so that no child’s education is affected due to economic or social circumstances. He said the future of the country and the state is in the hands of children and therefore investment made in children’s education is the biggest investment. It is the responsibility of the government and society to ensure that children get better schools, teachers, resources and sufficient opportunities to move forward”.
Free Coaching for Competitive Exams
Announcing another initiative for the students of Raisen, Chouhan said that now ‘Mama Coaching Class’ will be started for the preparation of competitive examinations. He said that many children used to meet him and request him to pay the coaching fees for competitive examinations. In such a situation, instead of paying fees for different children, it has been decided to provide a better coaching facility in Raisen itself.
He informed that an advertisement is being issued for this. Application forms will be filled from the 10th, and the application process will continue till September 15. After this, a written examination will be conducted on September 20. After interviews for the selected students, coaching classes will start in Raisen from October 5. Through this coaching, preparation will be done for MPPSC, SSC, banking examinations, including state and central-level competitive examinations. He said that some students will be given direct admission, while those children who do not get direct admission will also be provided coaching through online medium.
Bridging the Gap Between Education and Employment
Chouhan said that along with education, employment is also an important need of life. All youth can’t get government jobs, so youth should be given skill training according to the needs of the private sector and industries, he added. He said that many industries in Mandideep, Bhopal and various regions of the country need skilled human resources, while on the other hand, youth need employment.
He said that those children and youth who are interested will be given training as per the requirements of industries. For this, cooperation of private institutions, including ITIs, will also be taken. After training, efforts will be made to provide placement to youth by organising job fairs, so that they can get better employment opportunities in the private sector as well.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that through various training institutes, initiatives will also be taken to teach children and youth the skills required for self-employment and employment. He said that in this regard, a further action plan will be made by discussing with the concerned officials at the District Panchayat level.
An Emotional Appeal to Students
In an emotional appeal to the students, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that it is not possible to fulfil every wish in life. Many things are achieved, and many things are not achieved, but in any situation children should not get disappointed or dejected. Citing a tragic incident in Maharashtra, he told the children never to be so stubborn for an object or wish that it harms themselves or their family. He said that it is important to maintain restraint in both happiness and sorrow.
Parents work hard to educate their children and help them move forward. Therefore, children should never let their dreams shatter and should realise their faith through hard work. He said, “I will try to ensure that my children get all kinds of facilities and realise their dreams. Mama is standing with you at every step and will continue to make efforts to help you move forward.” (ANI)
