He further wrote, “Parents cannot be blamed, because today people are living many different lives at the same time. People create an attractive and controlled image of themselves, because now it matters more how people see them, and not what they really feel or how they are from inside. Therefore, the entire family should not be judged on the basis of the deeds of the children.”

Her mother claimed that before finalizing the marriage, the family had asked Sia several times whether she wanted to marry Ketan of her own free will. The family says that Siya had given her consent. He also said that he had no knowledge of the alleged incident. Sia’s parents say that if Sia is proven guilty in the investigation and court, then she should be punished as per the law. The family claimed that they had no prior knowledge of the alleged conspiracy in the case.
