After the announcement by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, 50 free sewing machines were distributed to the women of Kosrangi village. The district administration took immediate action on the demand of women in Jan Chaupal and promoted self-employment and self-reliance.
Raipur. The administration swiftly implemented the announcement made by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai in Kosrangi village of Arang development block. The very next day after the Chief Minister’s instructions, 50 free sewing machines were distributed to the women of Meera and Radha Gram Sangathan. This distribution program was organized under the guidance of Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, in which District Panchayat member Shri Guru Saurabh Saheb and District Panchayat Arang President Mrs. Takeshwari Murali Sahu were present.
During LRC center inspection, women had put forth the demand for sewing machine.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai had recently inspected the LRC Centre, Kosrangi located in Arang development block. During this, he met the women of the village organization and took information about their livelihood activities and self-employment related work.
In the Jan Chaupal programme, the women had placed before the Chief Minister the demand of providing sewing machines to promote self-employment. Taking the needs of women seriously, the Chief Minister had instructed the officials on the spot to provide sewing machines soon.
Following the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the district administration immediately provided help.
After the Chief Minister’s announcement, the district administration took immediate action and provided sewing machines to the women. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the women of the village organization after getting the sewing machine. Mrs. Sapna Patel of village Kosrangi told that during Jan Chaupal, she had demanded a sewing machine from the Chief Minister and the machine was provided by the administration the very next day. He said that this will provide new employment opportunities to women. Meanwhile, Mrs. Yashoda Mandalay, a member of Meera Gram Sangathan, also expressed her gratitude towards the Chief Minister and the district administration and said that this assistance is a big step towards making women self-reliant.
Self-employment and women’s self-reliance will get a boost
The women of the village organization said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai understood their need and immediately took the decision, which will give them an opportunity to become financially strong. Women say that through sewing machines they will be able to start employment at home and this will help in increasing the family income. Expressing his gratitude to the Chief Minister, he said that this initiative of the government will prove to be very beneficial for rural women.
