Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai made four big announcements for education reforms, smart school, hostel, sports facilities and fort in the state level school entrance festival.
Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the aim of education is not only to score more marks in examinations but also to develop moral values, scientific thinking, social responsibility and a sense of dedication towards the nation within the children. He said that the foundation of a cultured society, strong nation and developed Chhattisgarh rests only on quality education. It is the effort of the state government that no child of the state is deprived of his dreams due to lack of resources or opportunities. The new generation is being prepared for future challenges by providing modern education, better infrastructure, technical facilities and equal opportunities.
Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the state level School Entrance Festival 2026-27 program organized at Swami Atmanand Government Excellent English Medium School, Jamgaon (M), located in Patan development block of Durg district.
Warm welcome to new students, message given to children to dream big
At the beginning of the program, the Chief Minister welcomed the small students taking admission in the school for the first time by applying tilak and feeding them sweets. While blessing the children, he said that they should study with full dedication, set big goals and bring glory to the family, society, state and country with their talent and values. He said that the smile on the faces of children and their dreams are the real strength of the bright future of developed Chhattisgarh.
Students got books, uniforms, school bags and bicycles for girls.
The Chief Minister distributed free textbooks, uniforms and school bags to selected students of classes I, VI and IX. At the same time, by giving bicycles to the girl students of class 9th, they were inspired to move forward in the direction of higher education.
Honoring meritorious students, calling talent the biggest asset
While honoring the students who performed excellently in the National Means cum Proficiency Scholarship Examination 2025-26, the Chief Minister said that talent is not dependent on any place or situation. If given the right opportunity and proper guidance, every child can achieve great achievements.
Many new changes in the education system, from smart classes to nutritious food.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is developing the education system in accordance with modern and future needs. Smart classes, timely distribution of free books and uniforms, additional nutritious food, regular parent-teacher meetings, invitation banquets and many innovations based on Indian culture are being implemented in the schools of the state, so that the all-round development of the students can be ensured.
Teachers reach all schools due to rationalization, education hub being built in Bastar
The Chief Minister said that major improvements have been made in the education system through rationalization. Now no school in the state is without a teacher. Continuous efforts are being made to provide quality education to remote and forest areas. Education hubs are being developed in areas like Jagargunda of Bastar, so that the children there can also get facilities like big cities.
Hostel facilities in Medical College, Nalanda campus and Delhi.
The Chief Minister said that currently 15 medical colleges are running in the state. Apart from this, 24 Nalanda campuses have been developed. A hostel facility with 200 seats has also been provided for the students studying in Delhi.
Four big announcements for Durg district, education and sports will get a new base
Chief Minister Shri Sai made four important announcements related to education and sports infrastructure for Durg district-
- Construction of modern composite office building for the offices of Joint Director, District Education Officer and Development Block Education Officer of the Education Department.
- An auditorium with state-of-the-art facilities will be built in Durg city.
- Football grounds and athletics tracks will be developed for sports talents.
- Boys and girls hostels with 100 seats each will be set up for students preparing for competitive exams like NEET and JEE.
He said that these schemes will provide better opportunities to new talents to progress in both the fields of education and sports.
Inspected astronomy laboratory, laid emphasis on scientific thinking
The Chief Minister visited the astronomy laboratory of the school and appreciated the models related to space science and astronomy prepared by the students. He said that scientific thinking and innovation will be the identity of future India. The state government is continuously making efforts to increase interest in science and technology among children.
Saplings planted under ‘One tree in mother’s name’ campaign
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav planted saplings of Jackfruit, Sindoori and Maulshree in the school premises under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. On this occasion he also gave the message of environmental protection. The Chief Minister participated in the invitation banquet with the school children and also had an intimate conversation with them about their studies, interests and future plans.
State’s top students honored
Students who performed excellently at the state level in the National Means-cum-Proficiency Scholarship Examination were honoured. The Chief Minister praised Ku. who got first position in the state. Payal Rajni, Naitik Amte stood at seventh place and Ku. Honored Shraddha Indoriya and wished her bright future.
School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav enumerated new initiatives for education reform.
School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav said that the government is giving top priority to quality education. Computer education is being expanded in schools in a phased manner. More than eight thousand new toilets are being built for girls. Special campaigns are being run to increase language and mathematical proficiency. Besides, many new initiatives are also being taken to connect students with Indian culture and lives of great men. He said that the government aims to provide books and uniforms to all the students on the very first day of the commencement of the academic session in future.
