Big Gown Energy
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu wore Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, bringing major volume to the red carpet in this Spring 2026 gown that should have completely overwhelmed her, as it did Zoë Kravitz, but surprisingly it didn’t. Pomellato jewels added the finishing touch.

Flower Power
Heidi Klum arrived in an Elie Saab Fall 2025 Haute Couture gown featuring oversized floral appliqué at the bust. At this point, Heidi on the Cannes opening ceremony red carpet almost feels contractually obligated to bring either a giant flower, a giant train, or both. This delivered exactly that familiar glamour formula, and I have to say, I (surprisingly) don’t hate it. René Caovilla sandals completed the look.

The Dress Redemption Arc
I genuinely thought I never needed to see this Stella McCartney gown again after in it, but Ikram Abdi Omar completely shifted my perspective. The clean white draping feels far more natural on the model, and she brings the kind of statuesque presence the look requires. Pasquale Bruni’s Aleluiá earrings and rings completed her look.

Mirrorball Glamour
Maika Monroe wore an all-over silver sequin Ashi Studio gown, which was one of the strongest fully sequinned looks of the night. The liquid-like shine did all the work. Pasquale Bruni’s Aleluiá earrings, along with a Giardini Segreti bracelet and ring, completed her look.

Primrose Hour
Anaïs Demoustier wore a Prada gown printed with aurora-borealis primrose flowers and framed by symmetrical tufts at the hips in sunburst pleats that floated around her. Pomellato jewels completed the look.

Sheer Wonder
I’m wondering if Chloé Zhao knew just how sheer her black lace Gabriela Hearst Fall 2026 dress with cascading ruffle detailing was under the lights. I wish she kept the belt.

Black Sequins, Full Impact
Jane Fonda wore a custom Gucci long-sleeved gown covered in rectangular black sequins. While many stars arrived in pale tones and soft draping, Jane reminded everyone that a sharply executed black sequinned column can made a bold impact on the this red carpet. The silhouette was simple, but the surface shimmer gave it richness under the lights. Pomellato jewels completed her look.

Drama In Black And White
Maura Higgins arrived in an Andrew Kwon strapless column gown layered with a dramatic sculptural cape featuring exaggerated sleeves and an extended train. The sharp contrast between the clean neckline and the oversized volume gave this look a strong bygone-era couture feel, while her vintage-inspired waves added to the theatrical mood.

The Florence Hunt Encore
Laura Wandel wore the same white Dior Spring 2026 tulle gown with a black satin collar previously seen on . The petal-like appliqué created beautiful texture throughout the dress.

Sequins Meet Structure
Monia Chokri’s white Prada silk gown, with its black shoulder wrap embroidered with black sequin flowers, may have a slightly restrictive element to it, but I love the contrast between the clean white column and embellished wrap, which gave the look definition.

Art Deco After Dark
Zhao Tao wore a black Prada A-line gown featuring a geometric cape embroidered with crystal deco detailing. The silhouette itself was clean, but the embellished cape gave the look a Cannes flourish. Chopard jewels completed her look.
