Vinesh Phogat: Senior female wrestler Vinesh Phogat is going to return to the field once again. He had returned from retirement only last year. She is now going to participate in the National Open Ranking Wrestling Tournament in Gonda. Vinesh, who is returning to wrestling after almost 18 months, has released a video message. In this video he has made serious allegations against former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Singh. At the same time, fear of favoritism has also been expressed in this tournament being organized in Gonda.

Vinesh Phogat has expressed concern over possible inappropriate incidents during the National Open Ranking Wrestling Tournament and held the Indian government responsible. He said that if any wrong incident happens to him or his team, the government will be held accountable for it. Along with this, he has alleged that the tournament being organized in Gonda may be under the influence of former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Singh and his close ones.
Vinesh said, ‘If any wrong incident happens to me, my team or the fans during the competition, then the Government of India will be responsible for it. This tournament is being organized at a place where he (Brij Bhushan Singh) has a lot of influence. Who will be the referee in a match, how many points will be given, who will be the mat chairman, everything is under the control of him and his people. He further said, ‘I do not want any kind of privilege or special treatment. I just want the results to be in line with the performance.
Serious allegations against Brijbhushan Singh
Vinesh Phogat is one of the main complainants in the sexual harassment case against Brij Bhushan Singh. He said that playing at a place where most people can be associated with the accused is quite stressful for him. Citing Supreme Court guidelines regarding the identity and dignity of victims, Vinesh said that due to the circumstances she was forced to speak publicly. He said, ‘I am one of the six female wrestlers who have filed the complaint.’ Let us tell you, Vinesh will compete in the women’s 57 kg weight category in Gonda. Before this she had played in 50 kg and 53 kg categories.
