This special employment cell of Uttarakhand is going to open five big and attractive career paths for former firefighters. Intelligence network of digital skill mapping: Strength will be assessed through AI and modern technology
Under the Agneepath scheme, 25% of these youth recruited in the age group of 17.5 to 21 years will continue their service in the Regular Armed Forces (Army) from February 1, 2027. But the real challenge is that of those 75% youth who will return to the society as common citizens. To make this change very easy and transparent, the Uttarakhand government is preparing a ‘Digital Skill Bank’. Under this, there will be online registration of every returning Agniveer. A complete digital record of their military training, technical proficiency, discipline and professional leadership qualities will be maintained. Not only this, short-term skill development and upgradation courses of 10 to 15 days will also be conducted for those Agniveers who want to adapt themselves as per the demands of the corporate world.
The Chief Minister’s office is keeping a close eye: There will be a flood of jobs in more than 50 sectors.
This is not a simple paper scheme, but it will be directly controlled and supervised by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) itself. The government has identified more than 50 sectors like tourism, hospitality, security services, logistics, infrastructure, modern farming, sports, manufacturing and disaster management where these disciplined youth can be immediately employed. This employment cell will act as a strong and seamless bridge between trained firefighters, government departments, skill development agencies and private companies.
Masterstroke of 10% reservation: The respect of Agniveers will increase in the society.
The Uttarakhand government has not only created an employment cell but has also completely secured the future of the firefighters at the policy level. The historic announcement of 10% horizontal reservation for Agniveer in state government jobs has already been made. Apart from this, these youth will also be given special priority in the recruitment of Uttarakhand Police and Central Security Forces. Army job was the first chapter of the lives of these youth, but the Uttarakhand government has made it clear that their second chapter will also be equally glorious and meaningful, so that these heroes who protect the country can make their best contribution in building the society.
