PSL 2026 Final: The final match of the 11th season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) will now be played with the presence of fans in the stadium. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved this. The final match will be held on May 3 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Till now this entire tournament was being played behind closed doors i.e. without fans. This decision was taken to save fuel under the austerity policy of the government. But the tournament was originally planned to be held in six cities, but it was limited to only Karachi and Lahore.
Big decision of Pakistan government
According to media reports, after continuous recommendations from the franchise owners, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had personally appealed to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. On the recommendation of the franchise owners, the Prime Minister has allowed fans to come to the stadium for the final match.
Giving information about this decision on his official X account, Mohsin Naqvi said, ‘Dear cricket fans, I had recommended Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to allow fans in the stadium. He himself was in favor of the presence of fans, but he said that economy measures are being taken across Pakistan and efforts are being made to reduce fuel consumption. Nevertheless, on the request of the franchise owners, they allowed fans for the final of PSL 11. I express my gratitude to him for his decision and for providing facilities to the fans.
Big news for Pakistani fans
This decision is good news for cricket fans, because during the entire tournament they did not get a chance to go to the stadium to watch the matches. The atmosphere is expected to become even more exciting with the presence of fans in the final match. This final of PSL 11 will now witness not only the performance of the players on the field but also the enthusiasm and support of the fans. Cricket fans will now be able to reach Gaddafi Stadium on May 3 and cheer their favorite teams live.
