This player had earned name by playing against star players like Abhishek Sharma-Shubman Gill. But due to financial constraints and lack of opportunities, this player has now announced to leave cricket. Bangladesh’s young cricketer Kazi Onik has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket at the age of just 27. Citing financial constraints and not getting much opportunities, he has decided to leave the sport completely. Kazi Onik is a left-arm fast bowler who represented the Bangladesh Under-19 team. During the year 18, he was a part of Bangladesh team in the U-19 World Cup and came into limelight for his fast bowling in domestic cricket. There was a time when there was a lot of discussion about his bowling speed and he was considered a potential star of the future.
However, he had to face a big challenge in the initial phase of his career. In the year 2020, he had to face a two-year ban for failing a doping test during a National Cricket League match. This incident caused great harm to his career. Tried to make a comeback after the ban, but he did not get consistent matches even at the domestic level, due to which his dream of playing for the national team was shattered. Now at the age of 27, Onik has decided that he is leaving the cricket field forever.

Qazi Onik played a total of 12 first class, 50 List A and 17 T20 matches during his career. During this period, he took 31 wickets and scored 196 runs in first class cricket. At the same time, he has 66 wickets and 211 runs in his name in List A. Apart from this, he took 15 wickets in T20. He played his last match in the year 2024.
