‘Forgiveness Mantra’ for mistakes and errors

We are human beings and we commit some small mistake knowingly or unknowingly in the rules and regulations of worship. Sometimes a word is missed wrongly and sometimes the correct method is not remembered. Therefore, it is important to ask for forgiveness from God at the end of the Aarti, so that our worship does not remain incomplete. For this the mantra ‘Apology’ should be chanted. After reciting this mantra, chant ‘Om Shanti’ with a calm mind and then circumambulate the Lord.

O Lord (Janardana). I neither know the correct mantra, nor the correct ritual of worship, nor do I have that kind of true devotion. Still, whatever I have worshiped you in broken words, please accept it in full with your mercy and forgive my mistakes.
