Due to more months from 17th May to 15th June, Tuesdays of both Main Jyeshtha and Adhik Jyeshtha together are 8. In North India, there is an old tradition of offering Imarti on Bada Mangal. Red colored Imarti is considered dear to both Mangal Dev and Hanuman ji.
Tulsi Dal (Basil leaves)
It is mandatory to have Tulsi group in any offering to Hanuman ji. They do not accept food without Tulsi. It is said that by offering Tulsi, Lord Hanuman gets pleased quickly.
