Jyeshtha Bada Mangal: Tuesdays of Jyeshtha month are called Bada or Budhwa Mangal. It is a mythological belief that on Tuesday of Jyeshtha month, Lord Shri Ram and his great devotee Hanuman ji met for the first time. This is the reason why worshiping Hanuman ji on the day of Bad Mangal has special significance. Today is the seventh big Mangala of Jyeshtha month. There is a religious belief that Hanuman ji becomes happy by worshiping on the day of Bad Mangal.
On the seventh day of Bada Mangal, offer vermilion and jasmine oil (chola) to Hanumanji. While offering chola, speak your wish. The special importance of worshiping Lord Hanuman by offering chola on the day of Bad Mangal has been mentioned in the religious scriptures. By offering Chola to Hanuman ji on the day of Bad Mars, the inauspicious effects of Mars in the horoscope are reduced and one gets freedom from Shani Dosha. Also fear and pain go away.
Method of offering chola to Hanuman ji
After taking bath on the day of Bad Mangal, wear red colored clothes. After this, anoint the idol of Hanuman ji with Ganga water. After this, mix jasmine oil in vermilion and first apply it on the feet of Hanumanji and then apply the robe on the idol from top to feet. After offering Chola, offer silver work, sacred thread and clean clothes to Hanuman ji. Write Shri Ram with vermilion on 21 or 11 Peepal leaves.
After this, offer Peepal leaves to Hanuman ji. Offer gram, jaggery, sweets, betel leaves and betel nut to Hanumanji. Then recite Hanuman Chalisa by placing incense sticks on the jeep. After this, perform Aarti of Lord Hanuman and take a little vermillion at his feet and apply it on the brain.
