Ministers who took oath initially include Rameshwar Teli (Transformation and Development), Atul Bora (Panchayat and Rural Development), Charan Boro (Transport), and Ajanta Neog (Women and Child Development). These ministers are from BJP, Assam Gana Parishad (AGP), and Bodoland People’s Front (BPF).

Himanta Biswa Sarma took oath as CM on May 12.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President Nitin Nabin and many other senior central and state leaders.
In the 2026 Assam Assembly elections, NDA won three-fourth majority by winning 81 out of 126 seats. The BJP-led alliance, which also includes BPF and AGP, won a total of 101 seats. Bodoland People’s Front and Assam Gana Parishad won 10 seats each as part of the alliance.
