Amitabh Bachchan, the megastar of Indian cinema, remains highly active on social media, frequently sharing his thoughts through his blog. Recently, he humorously commented on how his blog posts are often misrepresented and misunderstood by the audience.
In a recent entry, Bachchan wrote, “As the festivities continue, the invitation to return home during this time of brings about strange interpretations of what I write on my blog, which are beyond mere humor.”
Reflecting on the race to be the first to report news, he noted that in the pursuit of attention, the truth is often overlooked. He added, “The eagerness to be first among the crowd, in hopes of gaining attention and money, sometimes leads to misinterpretations of the facts or even a lack of understanding by the reporters themselves. That is the irony of today.”
He further expressed his frustration about how unnecessary and incorrect additions are made to portray a story as real, turning it into a business transaction at the expense of authenticity. “If content is purchased, there’s a need to recoup costs; this is business, and truth can be disregarded,” he wrote. “I’m curious to see how my blog will be twisted and turned, and for now, I will take a break.”
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Bachchan also wished for peace, prosperity, and happiness, stating, “May Lord Ganesh’s blessings remain with us all.” The festival celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesh, marked by the installation of his idols in homes and public pandals.
