Abhijeet Sawant, the renowned singer who rose to fame on the first season of “Indian Idol,” has unveiled his latest track, “Gan Dhav Re,” in celebration of . This special song features his daughters, Ahana and Sameera, providing background vocals for the first time.
Reflecting on the experience, Abhijeet shared, “Recording ‘Gan Dhav Re’ with my daughters was an incredibly emotional moment for me. Their presence in this song feels like a divine blessing from Bappa. It’s the first time we’ve combined our voices for a project, making it distinctly different from my other works.”
He took to social media to express his excitement, stating, “This is our first song together, created especially for Bappa. What could be more meaningful? Everyone has a unique relationship with Bappa. Some see him as a friend, others as family, and many look to him for support in tough times.”
Abhijeet emphasized that “Gan Dhav Re” captures the essence of this beautiful relationship. He added that with his daughters’ voices included, the song transcends a mere devotional piece, becoming a cherished family memory.
Having gained immense recognition from “Indian Idol,” Abhijeet launched his musical career with his debut solo album, “Aapka Abhijeet Sawant,” in 2005. That same year, he also lent his voice to the film “Aashiq Banaya Aapne,” performing the hit song “Mar Jawaan Mit Jawaan.”
He followed up with his second album, “Junoon,” in 2007, and six years later, he released his third studio album, “Farida.” In addition to his music career, Abhijeet has ventured into acting, making his debut in the film “Lottery” in 2009 and later appearing in “Tees Maar Khan.”
Recently, he made a special appearance on “Indian Idol” during the diamond jubilee special, reuniting with fellow contestants for a nostalgic celebration after nearly 22 years.
