Washington DC [यूएस]June 30 (ANI): US President Donald Trump on Monday (local time) shared an AI-generated photo of a “golden gift” for the White House in honor of the country’s 250th anniversary.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “A golden present for the White House for its 250th birthday!” This photo shows a bald eagle on the balcony of the White House with its wings extended to the balcony columns, along with the Stars and Stripes shield on the balcony. The post was re-shared by the White House’s official
According to CNN, this photo does not appear to be a real photograph. Comparison with the actual Truman Balcony reveals obvious differences in the architectural details of the railing. Additionally, the shield in the graphic features only 11 stars instead of the traditional 13 stars, which historically symbolized the original colonies at the time of the country’s founding.
CNN reported that a freelance photographer, Andrew Layden, posted photos of the balcony on Instagram, which he said were taken at 9:30 p.m. after Trump posted the photo, which did not show the eagle. The photo’s metadata also contains content credentials that indicate it was created with Google AI.
Trump also revealed the new passport design
Earlier, US President Donald Trump also revealed a new design for a limited-edition US travel document created in honor of the country’s 250th anniversary, which includes his own portrait. Publishing the template on Truth Social on Friday, Trump posted, “The new passport for the U.S.A. that says, ‘Welcome, but stay nice!'”
The prototype passport page distributed by Trump shows the president prominently situated at the Resolute Desk, bearing the text of the historic Declaration of Independence, with his signature below. Its front page features John Trumbull’s famous artwork, “The Declaration of Independence.”
This newly promoted layout appears to use an illustration inspired by the portrait of Trump displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington. This version contrasts a previous mock-up introduced by the US State Department earlier this year, which represented the president using an alternative graphic. Later Friday, the White House published the same document layout on an X, with the caption, “New US passport to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.”
The commemorative travel document was initially promoted in April as a part of nationwide events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Officials previously described this release as “a limited-edition US passport to commemorate the historic occasion of America’s 250th anniversary”, featuring “custom artwork and enhanced images on the front, back and inside covers”.
During the initial rollout, a US official told CNN that the special edition “when available will be the default passport from the Washington Passport Agency” for individuals who seek renewal in person at that specific facility. The official further said that “the existing passport designs will remain available through online option or other locations.”
The inside front cover of the standard United States passport features Francis Scott Key’s artwork by Percy Moran, depicting the morning after the shelling of Fort McHenry, the same conflict that inspired Key to write the verses that eventually became the U.S. national anthem. Excerpts from the national anthem are also printed on the inside front cover. (ANI)
