Actor Allu Sirish has approached the Hyderabad police over loud music allegedly being played at a Hanuman temple in his locality until 2-3 a.m., saying the noise has been disturbing residents for several days.
Sirish, the younger brother of Telugu star Allu Arjun, raised the issue on X and tagged Hyderabad City Police, identifying himself as a resident of Aparna One in Shaikpet.
“Respected @hydcitypolice. I’m a resident of Aparna One, Shaikpet. For the last few days the Hanuman temple at Vinobha Nagar is playing loud music, beyond allowed decibels till night 2/3am,” he wrote.
The actor said he had already complained to the Film Nagar Police Station, but was asked to tolerate the noise until September 25 because of Ganesh Nimajjanam festivities.
According to Sirish, the festival had concluded but the loud music continued. He said several elderly residents, children and working people in his society were being disturbed and claimed that complaints had been made in the past without action.
“Request you to please look into it,” he said.
Responding to the post, Hyderabad City Police said the matter had been forwarded to the Station House Officer of Film Nagar Police Station “for necessary action”.
Sirish’s complaint subsequently drew support from several users on X, with commenters praising him for raising a civic issue. Some also called for consistent enforcement of noise restrictions around religious places irrespective of the faith involved.
The actor’s post has brought renewed attention to concerns over late-night loudspeakers and the impact of excessive noise on residents in urban neighbourhoods.
