What is the condition of gold on Akshaya Tritiya 2026? Know city wise rates
On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on 19 April 2026, gold prices in India set a new record. 24 carat gold hovered around ₹1,53,000 to ₹1,56,000 per 10 grams, while 22 carat gold was priced around ₹1,40,000 to ₹1,43,000 per 10 grams. Gold prices have seen a sharp increase of more than 50% compared to last year.
Talking about the prices in major cities, in Delhi, 24 carat gold was ₹ 1,55,600 to ₹ 1,55,930 and 22 carat gold was ₹ 1,42,950 per 10 grams. In Mumbai and Kolkata, 24 carat gold was priced at ₹1,55,780 and 22 carat ₹1,42,800. The highest prices recorded in Chennai were ₹1,56,660 (24K) and ₹1,43,600 (22K). Whereas in Lucknow and Kanpur, 24 carat gold was seen trading at ₹ 1,55,930 and 22 carat ₹ 1,42,950, while in Surat, 24 carat gold was seen trading at ₹ 1,54,250 per 10 grams.
