Adhik Maas Monthly Shivratri 2026: Every year the holy festival of Mahashivratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. According to mythological beliefs, on this day Mahadev and Mother Parvati were tied in the sacred bond of marriage. On this day, Shiva and Parvati are worshiped with rituals. Apart from this, Shivratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of every month. This is called monthly Shivratri. - This date will end on June 14 at 12:19 pm.
In such a situation, monthly Shivratri of Jyeshtha Adhikamas will be celebrated on 13th June.
Adhikamas monthly Shivratri auspicious time (Adhik Maas Masik Shivratri 2026 Subh Muhurat)
Brahma Muhurta will be from 04:02 am to 04:42 am. Abhijit Muhurta will be from 11:53 am to 12:49 am. Vijay Muhurta will be from 02:41 pm to 03:37 pm. Twilight time will be from 07:18 pm to 07:39 pm. Nishita Muhurta will be from 11:01 pm to 12:41 pm.
Monthly Shivratri Puja Method (Adhik Maas Masik Shivratri 2026)
On the day of monthly Shivratri of Adhikamas, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. Spread a stool in the temple and spread a red cloth on it. Establish Shivalinga at the post. Bathe Shivling with Panchamrit and offer Bel leaves on it. Decorate Shivling with flowers and sandalwood. Light a lamp and provide incense. Offer fruits and sweets to Shivalinga. Chant the mantra Om Namah Shivay, Om Mahadevaya Namah. Listen to the story of Shiva Mahapuran. Finally conclude the puja by performing aarti.
