What is Sonam Wangchuk planning?
Let us tell you that Deepke’s strike has been broken, but Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike continues even after being admitted to Safdarjung Hospital. This is their 23rd day of strike. Wangchuk wrote a letter to the hospital administration, describing his health as stable and saying he wanted to join the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march led by CJP founder Abhijit Dipke and other activists.

CJP representative Saurav Das went to meet JP Nadda
- Actually, Abhijeet Dipke had started this fast when Sonam Wangchuk had to be admitted to the hospital on July 18. Wangchuk himself was on hunger strike for 21 days, after which he needed medical help. On the other hand, CJP representatives Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka left on Monday to meet Union Health Minister JP Nadda. During this time, party workers and supporters remained busy at Jantar Mantar with their demands for examination reforms.
- While sharing the update on his official X handle, Saurav Das said that the government had contacted him for talks in the morning. Das wrote, “It is now 11:52. I and Ashutosh Ranka are going to meet J.P. Nadda on behalf of the Cockroach Janata Party. The government had called for talks in the morning. Our demands are clear. A large number of youth have gathered. We will win!”
- He said that the initiative for talks was late on the part of the administration, but they are ready for discussion to resolve the deadlock regarding the education system. Das also claimed that despite attempts at talks, no clear stand has been shown from the administration. “Now the ball is in their court,” he said.
