Kolar (Karnataka) [भारत]July 17 (ANI): Ridhima Dilawari recovered from a last-minute double bogey to extend her one-shot lead to two after two rounds in the tenth leg of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour at Zion Hills Golf County. Ridhima, a three-time winner this season, made five birdies against two bogeys and one double bogey on the par-4 17th hole. A birdie on the last hole eased his pain a bit and he carded 1-under 71 after a first-round 68.
With a score of 5-under 139, Ridhima is two shots ahead of Amandeep Dral (69-72) and Vidhyatri Urs (69-72). Last week’s winner Vaani Kapoor had four bogeys, including consecutive errors on the eighth and ninth holes. He shot 1-over 73 and is alone in fourth place.
Performance of other players
Young Saanvi Somu, who has experience of playing on the Ladies Access Tour in Europe, made a bright start with four birdies in the first six holes. However, she could not maintain this momentum because after this she did not make any more birdies, but made two double bogeys on the par-3 seventh and par-4 12th holes. He scored par on all the remaining holes and is at even par 144 with cards of 71-73.
Ridhima’s ups and downs round
Ridhima has been in good form this season, although she fell short of victory in the last two matches. The Order of Merit leader made two early birdies on the second and fourth holes, but lost a shot on the eighth hole and returned to 1-under. A bogey on the 12th hole brought her to even par, but consecutive birdies on the 14th and 15th gave her some ground before she double bogeyed the par-4 17th. A closing birdie on the 18th hole was a relief.
