Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated Sandipani schools in Katni. Made big announcements regarding implementation of UCC, Ladli Brahmin Yojana, Sleemanabad Tunnel and farmers.
Bhopal/Katni. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed Sandipani schools at Jhinjhri and Bahoriband in Katni district on July 17. During this, he made many important announcements regarding education, Sanatan culture, Sleemanabad Tunnel, development of farmers and Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
Referring to the story of Lord Shri Krishna, Kansa and Sudama, the Chief Minister explained the importance of education and friendship to the children. He also said that the state government will take steps towards bringing Uniform Civil Code (UCC) for all religions in the rainy session of the upcoming assembly.
UCC in Madhya Pradesh: Uniform Civil Code law will come in the rainy session of the Assembly
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is moving forward with the spirit of ‘one country, one legislation, one mark and one law’. He announced that a proposal to implement Uniform Civil Code (UCC) for citizens of all religions including Hindus and Muslims will be brought in the rainy session of the upcoming Assembly.
The Chief Minister said that under the proposed law, same marriage will be given legal recognition. He also told that the proposal related to Uniform Civil Code will be taken forward by organizing a cabinet meeting in Jagdishpur (formerly Islamnagar) located near Bhopal. Taking aim at the opposition, he said that the opposition did not participate in the meetings regarding the uniform law and gave priority to appeasement politics.
Sandipani School MP: New Sandipani schools inaugurated
While inaugurating the new Sandipani schools built at Jhinjhri and Bahoriband in Katni, the Chief Minister said that the education system in the state is changing rapidly. He said that at one time government schools did not even have space for children to sit, but now schools equipped with modern facilities are being built. Due to increasing quality of government schools, many students are now turning to government schools instead of private schools. The Chief Minister said that the government is providing facilities like books, cycles, uniforms, scooties and laptops to the students so that a better education environment can be created.
Shri Krishna Story: Message of life given to children through the friendship of Shri Krishna and Sudama
In the programme, the Chief Minister while narrating an incident related to the life of Lord Shri Krishna said that even after killing Kansa, Lord Shri Krishna gave the highest place to education and reached Sandipani Ashram and received education. He told that it was in this ashram that Shri Krishna and Sudama became friends. Here Shri Krishna acquired the knowledge of 64 arts, 14 sciences, all four Vedas, 18 Puranas and weaponry. The Chief Minister told the children that no matter what heights they achieve in life, they should never forget their old friends. Giving the example of friendship between Shri Krishna and Sudama, he said that true friendship always gives the message of respect and cooperation.
Guru Purnima: Respect for Guru is the identity of our culture.
The Chief Minister said that in the Indian Sanatan tradition the place of Guru is considered supreme. With this thinking in mind, the state government will organize a special event on Guru Purnima. He said that the name of the post of Vice Chancellor in universities has been changed to Vice Chancellor, so that the Indian tradition and dignity of the Guru can be respected.
Ladli Behna Yojana: An amount of Rs 1500 will be available again on Rakshabandhan.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the Chief Minister Ladli Brahmin Yojana. He said that the women beneficiaries of the scheme need not worry. He announced that on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, once again an assistance amount of Rs 1500 will be transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiary women.
Sleemanabad Tunnel Project: Sleemanabad Tunnel will change the picture of five districts
The Chief Minister said that the Sleemanabad Tunnel Project will prove to be a milestone in the development of Vindhya and Bundelkhand regions. After the completion of this project, the situation of irrigation and drinking water in five districts including Katni, Rewa, Satna, Maihar and Panna will be strengthened. Narmada water will reach the fields and drinking water will also be provided to Katni city.
He said that during the construction many difficulties were encountered like hard rocks and breakdown of machines, but the government took the project to the final stage with determination. The Chief Minister said that soon this project will be formally inaugurated during a big program in Katni.
River Link Projects: Farmers will benefit from Ken-Betwa and PKC projects
The Chief Minister said that the Ken-Betwa river linking project will provide irrigation benefits to farmers of many districts including Damoh, Sagar, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Vidisha. Apart from this, better arrangement of irrigation and drinking water will be ensured in the districts of Chambal and Malwa region through Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) project.
