Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha To MISS August 28 Release – Report

Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha is one of the most anticipated releases of this year. The film, based on the legendary Marathi Lavani artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar, was supposed to release in theatres on August 28. However, the biographical drama might miss its original release date. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the movie is likely to get preponed or postponed. Co-starring Randeep Hooda, Anant Joshi, and others, Eetha has been produced by Maddock Films. According to a media report, the producers of Shraddha’s film want to avoid a clash with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.

Eetha to miss its original release date?

A source told Bollywood Hungama that Maddock Films is wondering whether they should prepone or postpone ‘s theatrical release date. However, they are reportedly clear that they don’t wish to bring the film on August 28. “In a few days, they are expected to make an official announcement on the change of release date,” the source added.

For the unversed, Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been scheduled for a theatrical release on August 26. A few days ago, the makers of Sidharth Malhotra’s The Vvaan postponed the release from August 28 to September 25.

The media report further suggests that, “There is chatter in the trade that the producers of Eetha want to avoid a clash with Toxic, and it may be a sensible decision.” The source added that if these movies clash, the business of both projects could get divided.

Anant Joshi praises Eetha co-star

Earlier, in an interview with Zoom, Anant Joshi opened up about working with   on Eetha. The actor thought the actress would come with ‘starry tantrums’. However, that wasn’t the case. “Everything was so opposite. We had a couple of scenes together, which were just between her and I. I thought she made me so comfortable doing those scenes that I didn’t feel at any point all those things that I was earlier thinking. How am I going to say these lines and all those things,” he said.

While the actor didn’t divulge more details about his role, he shared that his character is an important part of the film’s storyline.
