Jeep unveils Meridian Track Edition in India at Rs 35.95 lakh

New Delhi: Jeep India has introduced a new version of its three-row SUV, called the Jeep Meridian Track Edition. It is a limited-run model based on the Overland variant. The company says this version focuses more on comfort, styling and practical cabin changes rather than major mechanical updates.

However, there are no changes to the engine. It uses the same 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine that produces 170 HP and 350 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and is available in both 2WD and 4WD options. The Selec-Terrain system is also included.

One of the main changes in the Track Edition is the new 140 mm full-forward sliding second row. This feature allows the middle row to move further ahead, making it easier for passengers to get into the third row. It also helps adjust legroom depending on how many people are sitting in the back.

On the outside, the Track Edition gets a darker and sportier look. It comes with Piano Black accents on the grille, badges and exterior mouldings. The SUV also features 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the front, there is a Dark Espresso grille with Neutral Grey highlights. A special hood decal and Track Edition badges help distinguish it from the regular Meridian. While the overall shape remains the same, these changes give it a slightly more aggressive and urban appearance.
