Under the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone in Uttar Pradesh, an integrated system of industry, skill development and employment will be developed on 50 acres of land in every district, which will provide new opportunities to the youth.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to immediately identify suitable land in all the districts for the ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone’ declared with the aim of directly linking industrial development with employment in Uttar Pradesh. In a high-level meeting held on Monday regarding this scheme announced on the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Day, the Chief Minister said that the main goal of the industrial policy of the state is to create such an environment where skill development, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities are available to the youth at one place. The Chief Minister directed the officials that this ambitious scheme should be implemented effectively as per local needs and regional possibilities.
Initiative to bring industry, skills and employment on one platform
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this zone is a big initiative towards providing departments and services related to industry, skill development, employment, self-employment and industry-support in an integrated form. He laid special emphasis on the development of modern facilities like plug-and-play units and flatted factories to promote MSMEs, service-based industries and innovation-related sectors, so that new entrepreneurs get the necessary infrastructure right from the start.
Modern industrial facilities will be available in the employment zone
It was informed in the meeting that under the scheme, facilities like Common Facility Centre, Testing Facility, Display and Design Centre, Tool Room, ETP/CETP, Plug-and-Play Unit and Flatted Factory will be developed. Along with this, arrangements for entrepreneurship training, mentoring, information about various loan schemes and handholding support for the youth will also be made from this campus.
The zone will be developed in at least 50 acres in every district.
It is proposed to implement the scheme in all the districts of the state in a phased manner. Employment and Industrial Zone will be developed on a minimum of 50 acres of land in each district. In the proposed zone, a balanced and well-organized layout of industrial area, flatted factory, commercial area, road, common facility, service sector, green area and office space has been prepared.
Youth will get direct benefit from Skill Development Center
Under this scheme, it is also proposed to establish ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Skill Development Centre’. Training hall, conference room, extension counter and all necessary facilities related to industry support will be available here. Under the operational model, arrangements for self-employment and entrepreneurship training, skill development, internship, apprenticeship and wage-based employment in related industries will be ensured.
This zone will become a strong center of employment and entrepreneurship for the youth.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone will become a strong center of employment, skills and entrepreneurship for the youth of Uttar Pradesh. He directed to speed up the implementation of the project by quickly identifying the potential sites, so that this scheme can become an effective model of industrial development and employment generation in the state.
