Switzerland is at number one in Henley Opportunity Index-2026.
There are 15 countries in the world where there is abundance of opportunities. Where education is known for its quality. Which are also prosperous and providing opportunities. Names of 15 such countries are included in the list of Henley Opportunity Index-2026. Switzerland is at the top of the list. Its score is 86 percent. There are many jobs here in banking, pharma and commodity sectors. Singapore is at second place and Australia is at third place. Interestingly, America and Britain are said to be the best for jobs and education, but both the countries have not been able to make their place even in the top-3 in the list of 15 countries.
The Henley Opportunity Index tells which countries in the world have the most opportunities for education, jobs, income and socio-economic progress.

In this index, countries are ranked on the basis of many parameters. Like- quality and availability of education,Employment and career opportunities, earning potential, economic mobility, quality of life, social security, business start-up and investment opportunities.

The index makes it easier to understand in which country people have more opportunities to progress. In this way, it is easier for talents, investors and professionals across the world to make comparisons and take decisions on that basis. Interestingly, this index is not based on the GDP of any country, but rather emphasizes on where there are more opportunities to progress based on one’s hard work and skills.

Although Switzerland mostly gets a perfect score of 100 out of 100 for earning potential in various index reports, the cost of living here is high. But if we look at the list of countries with the opportunities mentioned above, there are also countries like Australia which have reached the third position this year. Canada has also emerged as a great place for career advancement.
The specialty of these countries is that there are opportunities for progress, but the competition and cost of living is less compared to other developed countries like UK, US and Switzerland. Similarly, according to the index, Austria, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and New Zealand have also proved to be better than other countries.
