New 2026 Renault Kwid Launched at Rs 4.53 Lakh – What’s New?

The new 2026 Renault Kwid facelift has finally gone on sale in India at a starting price of Rs 4.53 lakh (ex-showroom). With the model year update, the carmaker has simplified the variant lineup to just two trims – Evolution and Climber. Both are available with manual and AMT gearbox options.

The Evolution manual and AMT variants are priced at Rs 4.53 lakh and Rs 4.90 lakh, respectively. Meanwhile, the sporty Climber manual variant costs Rs 5.15 lakh and AMT version is priced at Rs 5.61 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.

The retrofitted CNG kit comes at an additional cost of Rs 70,450 and comes with a standard warranty of 3 year/1 lakh km (whichever comes first). The updated Kwid continues to take on the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, priced at Rs 3.50 lakh and Rs 3.70 lakh, respectively.

What’s New

The new Renault Kwid 2026 facelift receives subtle design changes and feature upgrades, while retaining the 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine. This three-cylinder motor delivers a maximum power of 69bhp and 92.5Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.

On the exterior, the 2026 Renault Kwid features new 3D Renault badges, 14-inch steel wheels with redesigned dual-tone plastic covers, new Kwid lettering on the tailgate and new silver finished elements.

Inside the cabin, the updated Kwid offers a new three-spoke steering wheel inspired by the Kiger. On the feature front, the hatchback continues to offer an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument, wired smartphone connectivity, manual AC and more.

The safety package includes 6 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a rear parking camera with sensors, hill start assist, ABS with EBD, keyless entry with central locking and seatbelt reminders.
