3 Upcoming Maruti Cars Spotted Testing – New Brezza, Baleno & EV MPV

Maruti Suzuki is extensively testing three upcoming models including the Brezza facelift, Baleno facelift and an electric MPV. The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is set to go on sale with its official price reveal on July 23. Meanwhile, the Baleno facelift and the all-new three-row electric family mover are expected to arrive by the end of 2026.

New Maruti Brezza Facelift

The  is likely to receive minimal design changes along with a few feature enhancements. However, the major upgrade will come in the form of a 1.0L turbocharged Boosterjet petrol engine borrowed from the Fronx compact crossover, where it delivers power worth 100bhp and 148Nm of torque. It will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The new Brezza CNG version is expected to feature an underbody-mounted CNG tank. The lower trims are likely to continue with the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine.

Speculations suggest that the updated Brezza could be offered with Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) along with ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat and ambient lighting. On the exterior, the subcompact SUV is expected to feature a slightly revised front grille, tweaked bumpers and lighting elements, newly-designed alloy wheels and connected LED taillamps.

New Maruti Baleno Facelift

Spy shots suggest that the new 2026 Maruti Baleno facelift will get a newly-designed grille and redesigned bumper, while the projector LED headlamps and boomerang-shaped DRLs will remain unchanged. Inside, the new Baleno is likely to feature a new cabin theme along with improved material quality and some new features.

Under the hood, the 2026 Maruti Baleno facelift is expected to employ the existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering a maximum power of 90bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. A CNG version will also be offered.

Maruti YMC Electric MPV

Codenamed YMC, the is expected to share its platform and powertrain with the eVitara. This means, it will be built on the skateboard architecture and come with 49kWh and 61kWh battery options. Its range is likely to be over 543km per charge. The YMC will become Maruti Suzuki’s fourth MPV in India, joining the Ertiga, XL6 and Invicto in the brand’s lineup.
