New Delhi. Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan will be on a visit to Uttarakhand on 26th June. During this period, his entire program will focus on various topics related to agriculture, farmers and rural development. During the tour, on one hand, he will hold a high-level review meeting with Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, state government ministers and senior officials, while on the other hand, he will reach the fields and talk directly to the farmers. Apart from this, he will also attend the alumni conference organized at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.

This visit of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been organized with the aim of accelerating the overall development of agriculture and villages. The day-long program will include departmental review meetings, interaction with farmers and inspection of various development works. The tour will begin with an alumni conference organized at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, where he will interact with alumni and discuss issues related to agricultural education and innovation.
Will communicate directly with farmers under ‘Save Farm Campaign’ in Rudrapur
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will reach among the farmers under the ‘Save Farm Campaign’ organized in Rudrapur. During this time, he will inspect the fields, take stock of the condition of the crops and directly discuss agricultural problems and solutions with the farmers. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, state government ministers, local public representatives and a large number of farmers will also be present in the program. The challenges and possibilities of the agriculture sector will be discussed through direct communication with the farmers.
High level review meeting will be held with Chief Minister Dhami
In the next phase of the tour, a high-level meeting will be held with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Pantnagar. In the meeting, the development of agriculture sector in Uttarakhand, interests of farmers, effective implementation of rural development schemes and coordination between the central and state government will be discussed in detail.
Along with this, the progress of various development schemes will also be reviewed. In the meeting, it will be assessed how effectively the benefits of the schemes of the Central and State Government are reaching the farmers and rural areas and in which areas the pace of work needs to be increased.
