Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s visit to Mahidpur: On June 17, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and performed the bhoomi pujan of 19 development works costing Rs 207.57 crore in Mahidpur of Ujjain district. These include Samakota Barrage, Sub-Health Center building, College building and several schools costing Rs 188.42 crore. The Chief Minister said that these projects will give new impetus to the development of the area.
Historical and cultural importance of Mahidpur
Referring to the famous Mawa Bati and Gulati of Mahidpur, the Chief Minister said that it is a different pleasure to come here. He told that this place is considered to be associated with the friendship of Lord Shri Krishna and Sudama. Besides, the contribution of Dongla region in time calculation was also said to be important. He said that King Jai Singh had built observatories in Ujjain, Kashi, Jaipur, Mathura and Delhi 300 years ago.
Dongla Observatory and Scientific Development
CM said that carrying forward the tradition of Emperor Vikramaditya and Aryabhata, a modern observatory has been established in Dongla. The government is trying to ensure that in future the world’s standard time is also decided by Dongla.
Government schemes for farmers and sisters
The Chief Minister said that schemes are being run continuously for farmers and women in the state. About Rs 60 thousand crores have been given so far under Ladli Brahmin Yojana. Farmers have got the benefit of purchasing wheat at MSP of Rs 2652 per quintal. Irrigation area has reached 65 lakh hectares and the target is to take it to 100 lakh hectares.
Appreciation of Prime Minister Modi’s tenure
The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s schemes like free housing, gas connection and free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Also mentioned was Air Ambulance and Rahveer Scheme in the state.
CM Mohan Yadav’s sharp attack on Congress
Taking aim at the Congress, the CM said that the party is becoming weak due to its wrongdoings. Describing the Congress leadership as inexperienced, he said that due to this the party is going backward instead of moving forward.
